MAT CLASSES

Pilates is a safe, effective, low impact, full body workout. Based on the traditional principles of Pilates, it is a blend of strength and grace helping you gain core strength and stability, improving balance, co-ordination, flexibility and posture in your everyday life.

Niki, having trained as a Classical mat instructor and with Modern Pilates and Fitness Pilates, works with the classic mat movements as well as adapting to promote functional movement patterns to help in your general well being.

Modern Pilates has a clinical approach developed by physiotherapists working on the deep structure of your muscles, considered safe for people with back, knee, hip and shoulder problems.

Fitness Pilates uses all the following principles. Breathing, Concentration, Control, Centering, Precision, Flow, moving from standing to the mat with some more energising sequences.

EQUIPMENT: BARE FEET, MAT, BLOCK OR CUSHION.

BARRE PILATES

Barre is the basic principles of Pilates applied to basic ballet techniques, applying mindful effective movement.

This toning and strengthening blend of Pilates is low impact with postural and core emphasis, strength for the lower body, fabulous pelvic floor work and upper body toning for the arms.

EQUIPMENT: BARE FEET, CHAIR, MAT AND LIGHT HAND WEIGHTS. (Water bottles or tins of baked beans.)

TRIGGER POINT PILATES

Trigger Point Pilates is a combination of Pilates based exercises using body weight to create Myofascial release (soft tissue). Using controlled movements, lengthening and stretching to release your muscle tightness at the same time as strengthening your core.

EQUIPMENT: BARE FEET, MAT, CUSHION OR BLOCKS, STRETCH BAND, TRIGGER BALLS.

Monthly subscription enabling access to pre-recorded workouts . On demand exercise at any time to suit you, wherever you are.

A NEW 30 MINUTE workout is shared every Monday and Friday at 6am. Each session is different, including classical mat sessions to energising flow sequenced combinations and strength and stabiliy using equipment, stretching and some relaxation. In addition every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning at 6am there is a NEW 12 MINUTE workout, working a different area of the body. Great when pushed for time, or combine together working your favourite area.

With over a 400 videos from my back catalogue to choose from, there are plenty of classes for your monthly subscription for you to enjoy. All videos are uploaded on Vimeo and can be viewed on your desktop, tablet or Smart tv. All classes are put into categories/topics for you to easily find your favourites. Subscription can be cancelled at any time.

WEEKLY ZOOM CLASS:- IN ADDITION TO YOUR PRE-RECORDED WORKOUTS, INCLUDED IN YOUR MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION IS FREE ACCESS TO MY WEEKLY ZOOM CLASS.
